Jack_Flesher Posted August 26, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2007 State Farm writes what's called a personal articles policy -- I'm sure most other carriers do as well.

tbarker13 Posted August 26, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 26, 2007 I think many carriers offer personal articles policies. I used to have one with Travelers. But now have one with State Farm. Not terribly expensive for the peace of mind.

Bill W Posted August 26, 2007 Share #9 Posted August 26, 2007 Scheduling your equipment usually means no deductible at the time of loss but you are paying for this. Scheduling means you are paid what the item is insured for. You need to make sure you keep the values up to date since scheduling items in Texas does not mean you receive the replacement value. In Texas if you do not schedule your equipment then you will receive the replacement value but there is a deductible. The other advantage of scheduling is that you have "idiot" coverage meaning it will pay no matter what the cause of the loss. The premiums are higher if you are a professional photographer meaning there is obviously more exposure to loss that the casual amateur.
