colonel Posted March 10, 2021 Author Share #2 Â Posted March 10, 2021 This is one comparison I have found: FM Review: Voigtlander 50mm f/1.5 II Aspherical - FM Forums (fredmiranda.com) Â
BastianK Posted March 10, 2021 Share #3 Â Posted March 10, 2021 Voigtlander also provides 1 1/2 side by side comparisons here:https://www.voigtlaender.de/objektive/vm/50-mm-115-nokton-vintage-line-asphaerisch/
sutlore Posted March 10, 2021 Share #4 Â Posted March 10, 2021 "The new lens is offered with two types of coating: multi-coating for neutral color rendering and single coating for classical tones. You can choose the lens coating to suit your taste." It is being said on the voigtlander website. https://www.voigtlaender.de/lenses/vm/35-mm-11-4-nokton-classic/?lang=en Also, I used to hear people said that VC single coating lens is suited for B/W photography and MC coating is better in colour shooting. Not sure that it is true though.

Not sure that it is true though. Not true for me as far as the 35/1.4 SC v2 is concerned at least. It has just more glow (halos around highlights) and a smoother bokeh i feel but i did not try the MC long enough to do significant tests. Compared to SC v1 it has less flare and is sharper at full aperture. Here on digital CL at f/1.4. For those who know it it renders somewhat like the Summilux 35/1.4 pre-asph with more sharpness at f/1.4, a bit less glow and less flare but i did not compare them on rangefinders. Welcome, dear visitor! Ko.Fe. Posted March 11, 2021 Share #6 Â Posted March 11, 2021 I can't recall older version of CV 50 1.5 as CS. Only 35 1.4 and its originator 40 1.4. https://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137366 Â
