BEOON Alternative for film scanning?

My investment is relatively cheap so far. BEOON for 230 and an APO Rodagon N for 50. I payed more for the scanner so far.

Try it first then with whatever "tablet" you possess. I tried my Samsung a while back, and also a vintage iPad. I bought when traveling through HK an LED flat pane, about A5 size, and now use this. Whatever you use later, try now the first thing(s) you have, and fine tune it from there.

That is good advice. Thank you. IPad or Raleno Video light are my idea to test the BEOON.

The 'results' are achieved by having a camera clamped to some sort of stand pointing down at a backlit bit of film. There is NO magic involved and if you asked somebody only twenty years ago how to copy a slide or negative onto film they'd laugh their socks off at the overly elaborate performance that is now needed to copy a negative onto digital. The BEOON is a virtue signaling performance, yes it works, but the most important thing for many is that it is 'Leica', as if nobody else ever thought about copying negatives in the entire history of photography.

I see your point and of course it is just a stand/device. Interestingly no matter if it is Leica or not it is hard to find something that small that is stable enough and does not need 3D adjustment in a solid hammer tone built. I still believe there is a market gap for something equally small and practical.

Despite more people shooting film again the scanner developments are minimal and most are very slow with software that feels from the 80s with results that are ok to good.

I would like to share back what worked now. For the APO Rodagon 50mm N, and Fuji APS-C the B and D tubes work.

Here is an example from HRH Queen Elisabeth from 2001. Not the best source negative and even there it works.

I just need to find a good workflow now for post. It works with Capture One but a lot of manual adjustments needed.Does anyone know an alternative to Negative Lab Pro? For Capture One or a Mac Standalone.

I use a very similar setup: Leica CL (APS-C) - BEOON with B and D tubes - Leica Photar 4/50mm at F16. I hold down the negative with a clear acrylic plate.
