You can twist the dot back and forth with your thumb until the glue releases. This way you don't have to pry under the leather or scratch something. I left the dot in Acetone over a couple days and used a wooden toothpick and cotton swabs to gently remove the paint. I had some black spraypaint and coated the front side and used a cotton swab dipped in thinner to remove the paint from the raised lettering. A toothpick is useful for scraping off semi-dry paint if needed. Make a few coats and then seal in a gloss clear paint. I then used a flexible glue to put the dot back on so it can be removed again without fuss. BTW this camera and set is available for sale. Sadly, I can't afford to keep it right now.
