Just a thought… exactly how thin is the wide open depth of field for various Summilux lenses?  Are there any reviews that have these “measurements” ?🙂

Factors that affect depth of field are focal length, aperture, distance, and the sensor or film format. So all 50mm Summilux lenses should have the same depth of field wide open at the same distance on the same camera. A DOF calculator can help you figure out the depth of field for a given distance.

Good morning from here to everyone. 😇

Just a note in explanation, the Summilux 50 images I am posting initially here, are “real world” trial results from my first ever roll through the M2. What better way to get to know and better understand and learn a new lens, right?🙂

I have been extremely delighted to find that both the camera and lens are working well and I am now shooting  my third roll of film. The weather has been uncooperative but again I am working in a real world situation and that is ok. So far, I am completely happy with the way the v1 lens performs! I am now exploring the range from f2.0-2.8. What a great lens! So much to learn!😃

Hmmm… I am enjoying these images… what is the backstory? 😃

The M9 is still such a joy … to see the images posted these days is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

I keep coming back to this colorful image…wondering what film would be comparable to what I see here. Colors are very subtle and beautiful.😃
