Does anyone know what’s this mark in the VF? And how to get rid of it?

Thanks,

Thomas

If this spot bothers you when you use the camera, ask a tech if it's possible to get rid of it.

If not, just use happily your M.

M4-2 or M4-P ? curious as I never had the "separation prism" on those when I used them.

I checked it closely, it’s in the diagonal glass. Like a wiped spot on a dusty or foggy surface. It doesn’t bother me while shooting. But honestly it does just being there. Have no idea what it is?

The way you describe it, makes it sound like it's the area around the patch that has a problem. The diagonal glass is cemented together and what you describe could be the result of a separation process.

I would personally get the opinion of a competent repair tech - one that is capable of re-cementing should that be necessary.

You’re right! A slight separation just started. I had it checked by a pro. It’s a serious problem that gets worser by time.
