Would be something different, yes! Given the sensor architecture is the same as the M, one supposes that would make sense, at least technically. That said, given the investment I have in (and the undying love I have for) the L-Primes, I'd be happier with an SL2M. Not really noticible in print as far as I have seen, and I doubt whether it can be spotted double blind on a 4k display showing the full photo. Displaying 100% I would agree.
