Popular Post michali Posted February 8, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 8, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Late this afternoon I received the new Sigma 65mm f2 DG DN L mount lens to try out. I managed to get a few shots of one of my cats just as the light was fading. First impressions- it feels extremely well made & very solid. I love the fact that it has an aperture ring! It comes with a ribbed metal lens hood, plastic lens cap as well as a magnetic metal lens cap. I've become a big fan of the Sigma L mount lenses, IQ & handling is very, very good. Thank you Jayne. I agree these Sigma lenses are superb. Given their build, image quality & the focal length options on offer, at the price, it's an easy purchase without agonising over the cost. If you ask me, you would be hard pressed to distinguish your (excellent) photo to one of the same motive taken with a many times as expensive Leica SL lens. I am very happy that Sigma is around. My last purchase was the 70mm macro, and it is really really razor sharp.
ruskkyle Posted February 10, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2021 Those images portray some really lovely rendering IMO. I’d be very interested to see anything from this lens with a CL if possible. I feel like that would make for an excellent short-tele set up. 1

I've been planning to try it out on the CL, work got the way, I'll post some images in the next day.
jdlaing Posted February 10, 2021 Share #7 Posted February 10, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’m getting ready to dabble in L mount and what I’ve seen and read the Sigma lenses look to be okay. Nice shots.
