Trikur Posted February 6, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am trying to use a Leitz Telyt 280 mm M mount lens on my Leica M9. Which is the best finder to use for this purpose? Can such a finder give good image sharpness?

lct Posted February 7, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2021 Besides 280/2.8 and 280/4 Apo-Telyt-R's for R cameras, the only Telyt 280 i know of is the 280/4.8 for Visoflex (https://tinyurl.com/yy7ymp93). It needs a Visoflex housing (https://tinyurl.com/y4unk3cd) to be used on M cameras. I mean optical Visoflex as the M9 has no live view capabilities. DirkR440 Posted February 7, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2021 Hi, I've used that lens in the past on my M9 Monochrom. It is very cool. That is how it looks like: Welcome, dear visitor! K Davis Posted February 11, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 11, 2021 If you go down this route (which I have) then I'd use the Visoflex III with the instant return mirror facility

I noticed, though, that if you don't fight it and focus slowly, it eases up. I have the same setup and it's like new. Fun to play with and results are nice as your pics show.
