stuny Posted February 1, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 1, 2021 Quite lovely. Clearly in a protected area. Except for the Galapagos, in the wild they tend to keep at least a 1/4 of a mile away, moving en masse while feeding. These flamingoes are getting plenty of shrimp in their diets, greatly enhancing their color.
Louis Posted February 2, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted February 2, 2021 Stuny, thank you. I shot them in Miami seaquarium that is a quite disappointing place. I was expecting to visit a very special place for a town like Miami, but the most interesting subjects to shoot were these sad flamingos and a few bored parrots. So different with the one in Baltimore.
stuny Posted February 2, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 2, 2021 The Baltimore, Boston and Monterey Bay aquariums are all far better, although I was very impressed by the Miami Seaquarium when I was about 10. The first time we saw a whale shark, years before diving with them, was in Osaka at their aquarium, also far better than the one in Miami.
