The intonation was there at the very least. As I've said in the other thread, we appear to go about our lives differently which is fine. I'm happy to keep doing things as I am... perhaps it's best I remove the threads I've created as they appear to be working some people up the wrong way.

Q2 is an excellent choice and a tough machine. BTW, I do the same re. taping up mics and speaker holes - at the very least it makes me feel better. Haven't submerged my Q2 yet, but it has survived severe weather in the past few months. I also got the Nitecore charger that is pretty good and I can charge batteries using a powerbank while hiking long distances.

Great to see a similar story, thanks. I received a Nitecore charger yesterday and it'll make a huge difference although I'm considering a second battery but will decide over time.

Thanks Steven but I will use this for video some times, although it will just be for B roll with music over the top so the Mic wouldn't be necessary anyhow.

There is still some sound but obviously not good as with the tape peeled off.
That's what i would do if i should shoot video and need the background sound, just peel it off
