Torpille Posted January 12, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) On Sunday I met an acquaintance. The idea was an objectiv swap and I would have gotten a Sl 24-90. It did not work out. After our meeting I thought about it and made a decision. Definitely the SL with the 24-90 is too heavy and big also for my shootings on location and will probably always stay at home. It was for me the reasons to sell my 2 Canon 6d and buy the 2 Cl. Actually I only bought the SL (and sold a CL) to use my M lenses and have a 85mm full frame for the portraits (This one I don't have yet). Now I have also become unsure,I feel like I need to focus more on one camera. The M is incredible. Could it be just the M ? I think I should the SL let go, because I don't have a full format autofocus lens for the system yet. Except the M lenses CL I like very much but, with the M I do almost the same. With CL and M the image quality is very similar. But M has no autofocus. evf is extra and not so practical and has more weight. But it is a lot of fun to shoot with the M. Maybe should I also sell the CL It is all a little unclear.... I would be happy to hear your recommendations.

lb1800 Posted January 12, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 12, 2021 How about keeping the CL and adding an M? Autofocus and tele lenses for when needed. Use M lenses on both. This is what I do. Although in fact I use my M 95% of the time... 1
ynp Posted January 12, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 12, 2021 I bought the M10r to supplement my CL and I am going for a two month trip with my M10 r and the CL with the long APO Zoom. For me it’s a perfect combo and I will be leaving my other , heavier, cameras at home.
jplomley Posted January 13, 2021 Share #4 Posted January 13, 2021 M10-R and M10M seems the perfect combination for easily the next decade (or longer)
Harvard Kiwi Posted May 15, 2021 Share #5 Posted May 15, 2021 I recommend an M and keeping your CL as a 2nd camera. The AF would come in handy sometimes and its smaller size is great.
