jaeger Posted January 11, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2021 Do you mean replacing the top-plate? if so, there are 2 bolts each side in the bottom.

It's a bit more complex than that! This video shows how... Ernst

Any other video/text explaining how to disarm all the pieces at the top plate? thanks all! May I ask why you want to do this? I've never done this... but it looks like the cables connecting the top plate to the body are a mixture of things you can take off (connectors with pins) and soldered connectors which will mean removing the PCB assembly they’re attached too (unless of course your skill set means you can un-solder and re-solder them) I’ve no real skills in this area (so ignore me!) but there seems to be things that can go wrong here... damage to any of those cables for one

Any other video/text explaining how to disarm all the pieces at the top plate? thanks all! I've done this on my M8. From memory, all the ribbon connectors push into plastic mounts around the connection point. You need to depress a little catch to release them. It will be obvious once you see them. Might also be worth taking precautions against static build up if you're going to do this. Ernst Edited January 12, 2021 by Ernstk
Ernstk Posted January 12, 2021 Share #8 Posted January 12, 2021 (edited) Here's a video of it being done with a Monochrom. I imagine it would be similar. Ernst EDIT. Just noticed it's an M9 Monochrom, so follow the first video I shared for how to remove the retaining bolts. The top plate cabling might also be different but it at least shows how to remove the ribbon connector. Edited January 12, 2021 by Ernstk
