jankap Posted January 9, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2021 Would not some cropping improve the picture?
stuny Posted January 9, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 9, 2021 Ece - As always, it's good to see you posting. I disagree with Jan, even though I probably go too far in the direction of in-camera or post cropping. I think this is terrific as it stands, lending a wonderful, quiet but happy moodiness to the image.
allamande Posted January 9, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted January 9, 2021 Thank you Jan, Stuart, and everyone for your reactions/input. Jan, this reflects the mood and feeling of the moment I want to convey. It would be a different story with crop. Stuart, I should make an effort but honestly it's really tough these days (as for most). This place (Crystal Cove) keeps me to equilibrium. Sending you and Barbara my best regards. pgk Posted January 11, 2021 Share #6 Posted January 11, 2021 I think that the sense of scale is great with the yacht. I wouldn't crop.

stuny Posted January 15, 2021 Share #8 Posted January 15, 2021 I finally had a chance to show this to Babaria, who said, "BEAUtiful!" Your comment about Crystal Cove made us both think of the line in the superb romantic comedy, Next Stop Wonderland of "...Everyday contemplate something beautiful." The film is from 1998, and with the exception of It Happened One Night, from 1934 is probably the best romantic comedy ever filmed.
