How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

Tree-climbing Lions near Mila Tented Camp n. Serengeti, Tanzania- a rare sight.

Lions, mainly because of their weight, are not physically adapted to climbing trees. This is highly unusual behaviour & seen in Lion prides found mainly in some parts of East Africa. Experts say it's to avoid heat & insects on the ground; it also provides an excellent vantage point from which to observe the movement of prey across the savannah.

SL2-S & Sigma 60-600mm -This has become my go to lens on safari, extremely versatile, albeit heavy.

Beatiful! I imagine that changing lenses is something to avoid in dusty environment, implying that a flexible zoom is the way to go. And the range 60 to 600mm covers a lot...

A Time for Reflection - SL2S (Reporter) Its just an SL2S but I have always wanted to add "Reporter" to the camera info like some do and the implication that it takes better images than the SL2S standard model. APO Summicrom M 50 F2

Such beautiful scenery here.  I could take a million photos and it wouldn't be enough.  This is in Oak Creek Canyon, between Flagstaff & Sedona in SE Arizona.
