Advertisement Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Hi kld, Take a look here Tree, meadow, fence, wind. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted August 21, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 21, 2007 Klaus - compositionally, this is on the same high level that I've come to expect from you. I feel it can use more contrast and tonal range, though.
Chuckcars Posted August 22, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 22, 2007 You captured it all, well done. Composition is great, I would make the fence post slightly more vertical. A slight bit more detail in the clouds would be good. Then, it is a wall hangar.
kld Posted August 29, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted August 29, 2007 Stuart and Chuck, thanks for the constructive critics, it is very appreciated. I made a second version with a touch more contrast .. .. and a darker third version.
Chuckcars Posted August 29, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 29, 2007 #3 for me. It would look great in a 20x16 black frame with brite white westminster matt board and 3 inch borders.
Laki Posted August 30, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 30, 2007 the 3rd one is also my favourite
azzo Posted August 30, 2007 Share #7 Posted August 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Klaus, An increase of approx 10%contrast on the 2nd version works best for me. Another suggestion and only if this were mine, l'd crop the partly visible tree on the right, thus having a continuous barbed wire from left to right of the image. A nice capture, IMHO. beramos Posted September 13, 2007 Share #8 Posted September 13, 2007 Great shot Klaus, I agree 100% with Azzo's comment. I like it much.
johnwolf Posted September 13, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 13, 2007 Klaus, for me #2 has too much contrast. #3 is nice technically nice, but after seeing the original it feels heavy. I prefer your original for its more even tones and softness. It gives me a feeling of ease that I would welcome on my wall. John
