M4-P without M contact bush

I own a Leica M4-P since 1989. I bought the camera from a Leica employee.

Some time ago I realiced, that all(?) M4-P have two contact bushs, except mine.

I think my camera is a late M4-P.

Does anyone have any information on changes in contact bush?

Flush front lens on the top plate ?

Thanks, first time I see M4-P with strap rubbing protections.

If I recall well, even first batch of M6 didn't have those.

The camera in the link states 1989 but the ser.# dates from '86 and from a batch of 1,000 - of which, according to this link, 270 were actually M6 bodies;

I have one from the last batch of 1000. It has flush windows, strap rubbing protectors, and a single sync socket and despite it saying 'Made in Canada' it was actually assembled at Wetzlar.
