mort linder Posted November 10, 2020 Share #1  Posted November 10, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) i purchased a coded flange for my 90mm tele-elmarit ( i think a version ll ) , using it on a leica m8 . i have found that the lens will not focus to infinity . i checked the flange thickness , and it seems to be the same as the original flange ( .98mm ). everything on the new flange seems the same as the original . any ideas on what is going on ? Advertisement Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Hi mort linder, Take a look here coded flange for 90mm f2.8 tele-elmarit. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted November 11, 2020 Share #2  Posted November 11, 2020 I have not a Tele Elmarit Version II, but my version I (THIS one, to clarify...) Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Has a flange that it's thinner... I'd say 0,75mm or similar (hand caliper... definitely under 1mm but not 0,5)... probably a 1mm flange would have the effect of no reaching infinity focusing, indeed. mort linder Posted November 11, 2020 Author Share #3  Posted November 11, 2020 thanks for your reply . i measured the original flange , and it seems the same as the coded one i am trying to use . i previously purchased a flange from the same seller for my 28mm elmarit , and it works perfectly . i was hoping that someone else might have tried using one of these chinese flanges and had the same problem and solved it .
