albertospa Posted October 22, 2020 Share #1 Â Posted October 22, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Summicron 35 IV (pre aspherical) which I would like to encode 6 bits. But I noticed that in the position where the coding will be there is a screw. Will it be possible to encode it? Have any of you already done it? Jean-Michel Posted October 22, 2020 Share #2 Â Posted October 22, 2020 Go to:Â https://us.leica-camera.com/Photography/Leica-M/M-System-Service There is a PDF there that you can download to see all the M lenses that can be coded by Leica
albertospa Posted October 22, 2020 Author Share #3 Â Posted October 22, 2020 Thanks Jean, I had no doubts that Leica could do the coding. Mine is a curiosity about how the coding will be done. Maybe the new flange will have one less fixing screw? For this I was wondering if anyone in the forum has already had this experience. Thank you

In my experience he does it very nicely, and looks the same as a new Leica factory coded lens.! www.kamera-service.info Edited October 22, 2020 by pedaes

Nella mia esperienza lo fa molto bene e ha lo stesso aspetto di un nuovo obiettivo con codice Leica.! www.kamera-service.info Interesting. As you can see, I believe that Leica replaces the old flange which was fixed with six screws, with a new coded flange but fixed with five screws.
