The guests have left, the place is taken over by Kite surfers and our new dog - a stray from Portugal called Donuts, who came to live with us two months ago had his first walk on the beach. He was amazed by the sea.

In fact he is amazing. When he came he had never been in a house before and was completely untrained; he didn't accept treats, as he never had one in his life (that was soon rectified). Within the week he was housetrained, knew to come , sit, give paw, walk stairs, get into the car, stay, lie down, let go, live with the cats, etc. even now, after two months, he comes up with something new every day. We think he is 2-3 years old. He is exceedingly affectionate and gets on with every other dog and human he meets. Still, he does show some symptoms of PTSS, but he  can handle it.
