Never used any of them but the first link has an unfortunate name in the context of this thread (maybe also the second one, but less so)

Used them once, and they said my lens was mint. When I got it, even I could see it had strong haze without needing to use a strong light. Haven’t used them since.

Thank you! That’s all I needed to hear.

Oh! God, they are quite reliable and trustworthy amongst secondary retailers in Korea as far as I know.

As I'm native Korean, I'm quite uncomfortable since you're playing of the name sound of these stores since it has nothing to do with their reputation.

You should apologize for your rudeness.

Lighten up - it was a joke!

I'm with MS Koo. It was distasteful and facetious  joke that caused offense and nothing to do with original question.  To clarify: woori means "our": wooribank, woorirestaurant, wooricamera and S is often used in Korea as trading pre-fix

I didn't mean to offend, I have a tendency to play on words with my friends. I guess now I know where to draw the line in this PC world we live in. Now that I've learnt something new about the S prefix and the use of "woori", I see the offence I may have caused.

For the record, as you said, their names have nothing to do with their reputation, I just read them plainly from the weblinks above. I never made a judgment on the reputation of the stores, never implied that people should avoid them on the basis of their names, and admitted I never purchased/used them before so I would not be misleading anyone with my post. If you take a step back and read the names of the weblinks in the context of the thread, might you see the harmless nature of my comment? By no means justifying my comment as I acknowledge it can be seen as insensitive, just explaining how I meant no offence.

If I tell you what Pajero (as Mitsubishi Pajero) actually means in Spanish I might be banned from this site lol.

It's slang for an onanist.  I did used to enjoy explaining that to Pajero owners.

I can imagine the design brainstorming meeting at Mitsubishi HQ when the question "Who's got a good name for the new 4-wheel drive?" comes up and someone volunteers "Well I think Pajero sounds like a winning name."

Pete.

Well, look at your comments below. It sounds like..."I never used one of them, but they look scam...worry..website...so that you do better not use them"....that's what I felt and I figure you tried to deliver misleading message to Mr. mikeamosau.

What my expectation from you was just polite apology like "Sorry I wouldn't do it again", but not your long excuse.

I think you need to accept that there is often attempts at humour on this Forum which are just that, with no malise intent whatsoever. To say this was anything other, as it was so obviously a joke, is absolute nonsense. In my view there was no need for any apology,  and only someone looking for an argument would make an issue of it.

I'm quite surprised that you treated it as nothing. We can joke sometimes, but there are certain things you can not joke about, like hurting someone. While you're kidding, if someone feels offended and expresses seriously what he felt, you should stop there and apologize for your comment. That's what I've learned, and that's the way it should be.

We are talking about a business, not a person. If you are upset on their behalf, so be it but to claim "offended" it is a bit extreme. There has to be a judgement about proportionality. Think best to leave it there.
