dkw Posted July 31, 2020 Share #1  Posted July 31, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all,  When I press the shutter release button on my R3 the mirror raises part way really slowly and I have to press the dof preview leaver to make it complete its travel and then the shutter fires and the mirror snaps back home, does anyone have any thoughts on what the cause could be? many thanks in advance. It's always annoying when someone starts a thread with a problem but never bothers to post the outcome, so often searching old threads ends up like that. I don't know the answer but suspect that the mechanism needs a CLA. If no parts are broken then it should be doable by any tech, but as I mentioned I think in that other thread the cost may be more than the value of the camera (but surely still worth it). Sorry what’s “CLA” ?
wizard Posted August 3, 2020 Share #8 Â Posted August 3, 2020 Clean, Lubricate and Adjust. In other words, a decent camera service.
