AGeoJO Posted August 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 16, 2007 I have been using my CV 15 naked..... Seems simple enough that I may want to do it on my own . Now I need to get a 39mm filter. Time to call Tony, I guess.
Guest sirvine Posted August 16, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 16, 2007 Mine's even cheaper--I just snipped a few small pieces of an old rubber band and squeezed them between the filter and the blades. No trouble whatsoever.
farnz Posted August 17, 2007 Share #7 Posted August 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mine's cheap and easy too. I stuck a small strip of 3mm thick self-adhesive anti-slip rubber onto the bottom lip of the hood and the filter (backwards) sits securely wedged between the top and bottom lips. The rubber compresses to hold it in place and allows me to swap the UV/IR cut filter for an 093 IR pass filter in about 3 seconds. The anti-slip rubber is sold in stationers in the UK for a couple of quid as non-slip 'feet' for stereo equipment. Pete.

Guest tummydoc Posted August 17, 2007 Share #9 Posted August 17, 2007 I don't own the lens in question, but if I did John's filter holder would be my first choice, followed by the one linked to. The two alternatives mentioned here, not so much. Clearly not everyone differentiates between inexpensive and cheap
