How is the auto-focus with this lens? My one issue with the 400 Telyt is the time it takes to go from the focus knob to the shutter, there is no way to support the lens from the camera. On the plus side I have been using f8 mostly and haven't had a problem with light, mostly using ISO 400 and 800, with a shutter speed of 1/400 and up should apply to the Sigma too, but the lens also has image stabilization. I want to see some results to compare. What did the lens tripod mount cost?

I have no complaints about Auto-focus. It works well and tracking appears to be acceptable (the Geese near my house have made themselves scarce during the last few days ;) ) My lens will be returned for exchange, though, as the OIS is not functioning.

A shot with the CL and the lens at 400 from my balcony ,  second one is a crop of the first - cannot complain. O yes, the bokeh does not compare to my 90/280, but this was not to expect. All in all the lens is very good on the CL and on the SL 2 too, it is relatively light and has a modest price. The 1,4 converter I have not yet, but hopefull next week or so.
