I cant seem to find this information on Leica’s website.

SiggiGun Posted July 17, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 17, 2020 All the silver versions are around 20-30% heavier than the black ones. So, it is not Aluminium
a.noctilux Posted July 17, 2020 Share #3 Posted July 17, 2020 (edited) Former model here ( in Wiki ) silver/titanium finish (340g) was in brass. Since 2016, new model with more aperture blades and screw-on hood in silver anodized aluminium (ref 11674) made like black model (ref 11673), weights are same ( 252g without hood ). download, here Edited July 17, 2020 by a.noctilux 1

I cant seem to find this information on Leica’s website. FYR., If you're looking for chromed brass version Summilux, it could be the No°11883. But I am not sure about Cron. The latest chrome version(plated? not 100% sure up until now) is No°11675, unofficial said that it weight 20g more than No°11663. Please correct me if I got it wrong. NigelG Posted July 17, 2020 Share #5 Posted July 17, 2020 The current silver 35mm summicron is silver anodised aluminium not chrome-plated brass (so it weighs the same as the black version - but no longer matches the finish of the chrome body 😕) Welcome, dear visitor! In the late 90’s I had a black anodized 35mm f2 ASPH that I had bought new to use on my chrome M6 and swapped straight up with a guy who had a chrome model. The chrome version of the original 35mm f2 ASPH was one heavy dude compared to the black anodized version. With the option of re-living that opportunity I would have just kept what I had.
