robert_parker Posted September 15, 2020 Share #21  Posted September 15, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I have owned both the 75 Summarit 2,5 and the 75 Summicron and found the Summarit to be an excellent performer giving smooth and progressive contrast, in a way that the Apo lens did not match - I also found it less finnicky than the Apo as described above in the sense of being far easier to focus accurately. Not sure if this does the lens justice but this if from February 2009, Summarit 2,5 on M8,2 - it's heavily cropped - the rabbit is about the size of a real rabbit, photographed from about 30 feet away. Keith (M) Posted January 5, 2021 Share #25 Â Posted January 5, 2021 It does on my f2.5. Â Somewhere on here is a thread (or at least some posts) about it and how to clean it off.
ibramr Posted January 12, 2021 Share #26  Posted January 12, 2021 You ought to be careful.  The Summarit 75mm f2.5–initially acquired because of its attractive price—opened the door to the Summicron 75mm f2.0 APO which, in its turn, undermined my resistance to the superb Summilux 75mm f1.4.  It was a nice journey though.  The focal length is attractive and will likely offer new photo opportunities to you; the Summarit offers it in a very user friendly package in terms of weight, price, and reasonable haptics.   Enjoy in good health.

If you haven't already seen it and are contemplating purchasing a 75mm then this thread is a very informative read; https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/316651-the-75mm-focal-length/#comments Philip.
