ns_ng Posted August 15, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, This warthog came to the back of our lodge during our stay in Victoria Falls. The locals call the warthog, the African lawn mower. Warthog steak is great! R8/DMR + 90mm 'Cron N.S.

stuny Posted August 15, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 15, 2007 N.S. - I've always been amused how warthogs kneel to eat. Lovely late day light and color, excellent detail.

hsw Posted August 15, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 15, 2007 Great color and sharpness. You must have been relatively close to get this with the 90mm; are they dangerous? Henry
ns_ng Posted August 16, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted August 16, 2007 Great color and sharpness. You must have been relatively close to get this with the 90mm; are they dangerous? Henry Hi, There were quite a few of these warthogs running around the resort we were staying. They looked tame, but we were told not to disturb them. Yes, this one came very close. The 90mm has a fov of about 120mm with the DMR. This 90 mm dates back to 1982/3. But when stopped down it is very sharp and detailed. When I viewed at 100% on my LCD monitor, I could clearly see the skin texture and virtually every strand of hair. Thanks for viewing. N.S.
