Just purchased my first leica camera. I bought used from my local Leica store. Can I register the camera with Leica and if so how do I go about it.

Go to :Leica's website. If the previous owner registered it earlier, you will have to contact Leica. Your local Leica store can assist you. Registering the camera has no connection to warranty. For guaranty you will need the original invoice. Again, ask the store to assist you. I see that you are from the USA. Leica USA will not always extend guaranty to second owners. However, you can always fall back on Leica, Germany, as the factory guaranty is worldwide, and on the gear, irrespective of new or used..
