johntobias Posted June 19, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I shoot digital but play with submin minox cameras....anyone got any recomendations for a developing spiral /tank that will take the submin film (9.5mm) all the old and battered minox tanks on ebay are silly money or shall I continue my rather iffy efforts by sticking the film to a plastic coke bottle in a changing bag emulsion side out then chucking it in an old paterson tank ...rather variable results as you can imagine! ha ha

TomB_tx Posted June 19, 2020 Share #4 Posted June 19, 2020 Keep an eye on eBay. I picked up a hardly used tank, with several accessories and a Minox enlarger/copy stand quite reasonably after watching for a year. The tank is an excellent design. I also had DAG do a full service on my Minox B, so it's in great condition.
johntobias Posted June 19, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted June 19, 2020 will hold out for the proper Minox one...not only is it perfect and doesn't even need loaded in the dark but at 65mls of chemicals, super efficient.!.....just gotta find a good one that isn't silly money ($200+ yikes!) thanks for the info folks...when you read the online instructions for the Minox one, it is so clever a design! Charles Morgan Posted June 20, 2020 Share #6 Posted June 20, 2020 While described as for display (It's Russell's way of saying he's trying to avoid giving a warranty on something he hasn't tested) I've seen the kit and it is in very good condition.
