I just wanted to say I think your picture is simply lovely, the range of unique colors, the light on your subject along with the shading, then the fence line moving away from the focal point. Wonderful photograph-thank you for sharing it.

Summicron 90mm/f2

It's becoming my favourite lens - brilliant for framing on my M240 (or on any M of course).

Felixstowe Port arrivals on a cold & changeable January day.

Cropped to 16x9 as I think it suits the subject better.

Very impressed by such a beautiful subject separation on a f4 lens. Is it typical for a macro-Elmar or just an unique conditions/positioning while taking this photo?

It is mainly the result of 90mm and distance to the subject. I was also a bit lucky with the warm light of a nice sunset. But f4 on 90 mm is plenty to get proper separation. The macro elmar is a fantastic lens btw.

Guitarist, 90mm Summicron v.2, M10, ISO 10000, f/2.0. Ran across this later-edition "stovepipe Summicron" from 1971 (aperture ring turns in the correct direction). A great cheap thrill, if one can handle the weight.
