Tony C. Posted August 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) No affiliation, but I stumbled across the following ad placed on Craigslist by someone in San Francisco. Seems like an attractive deal. Regards, Tony C. Leica Noctilux Lens Mint Condition
Advertisement Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Hi Tony C., Take a look here Seeking a Noctilux?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AGeoJO Posted August 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 13, 2007 Man, I am glad I made the move last year before the buying frenzy started :D
Bill W Posted August 13, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 13, 2007 That is a great deal but I am patiently waiting for my 30% discount version. The ones on ebay have been going for $3,600 to $3,900. $3,600 for the older version with the detachable hood.
Guest sirvine Posted August 14, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 14, 2007 Looks like that seller has a 50 Lux too. I'm so tempted, as I'm in SF on business, but my bank account discipline is thankfully intact.
techpan Posted August 14, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 14, 2007 The prices are definitely increasing on the Noct. I have been looking at ebay pricing and the highest point was last november around the holidays. They dropped a little after that but are slowly moving up again. New Nocts are selling for 5495 if you can find one.
egibaud Posted August 14, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 14, 2007 Hi, Just my 2 cents. There are many problems with back focusing with Summilux and Noctilux. If I were you I would defenitely not buy this Noctilux before trying it yourself. Try to meet the seller, have a tripod and a ruler with you and do a back/front focusing test. There is too much money involved to take a back focusing risk. I bought a new Noctilux but my dealer, Nicolas Muro in France (4000 km away from me, did the ruler test for me) and I got it perfect. A few months earlier I bought a 35 summilux from another dealer and had to send it back as it was back focusing. Eric
Pham Minh Son Posted August 14, 2007 Share #7 Posted August 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) This lens is highly technical challenged and when you get it right it is the best in its class. The material for this optics is no longer available to make the lens. This is my only lens on the M8.
