stuny Posted August 13, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 13, 2007 Allan - Your usual excellence of technique and moment. In #1 I believe his thoughts are not on the impending race.
abrewer Posted August 13, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted August 13, 2007 Thank you Stuart! Dan is an absolute gentleman. I'm sure he was just distracted by something--like the old, fat guy with the funny little camera bothering him! Malcolm, right you are. AJ's is in his seventies now. Many younger fans don't have a clue who he is when they see him. Many older fans either, for that matter! True story: AJ was clearing some land on his property in Texas the week before last. The bulldozer tipped over, then rolled (with him aboard) completely upside down into a lake. Amazingly AJ just hung on, went down with the dozer, then he slipped out of the seat and swam to the surface. He said the most frightened he was during the accident was when he was in the water, making his way toward shore, and a water moccasin came swimming toward him. He said he splashed in the water with his hands and the snake left him alone for long enough to climb ashore. Only AJ could survive something like that. Thanks.
