The perspective is the same as a native 50mm lens. Just take a step back and crop to 50mm. No big nose anymore.

To all the new Q2 owners. A little oil from the side of your nose applied to the hood and filter threads will help immensely. They will operate very smoothly then and not require much force to install the hood all the way to the stop. This is an old tried and true trick that’s been in use for at least 50 years. Honest!

Filters are made from high quality Schott glass and I hardly ever need to clean mine.  But every filter comes with a nice red cleaning cloth - same quality as the Leica branded cloths - and a strong plastic case.

The ND filters are the most colour neutral of any I have used.  They even make a dark circular polariser combining ND with polarised.  The rims are ribbed and made of brass.  Everything about these filters is top quality.

The magnetic range is interesting - one size fits all, just need to buy different adapters to fit your lens - although more suited to mirror less (SL etc) and not so good for a rangefinder because of the size.  However, all magnetic filters have been on back order for quite a while.

Note: I have no connection with this company - just a very satisfied user.

Ha!  This is a great hack!  I always feel like I'm about to break something mounting and removing that hood.

The best filters i used are B+W and also the German Made Heliopan, expensive but worth every penny.

I've had plenty of B+W and a few Heliopan filters too.  But to be honest, I find the Hoya HD filters to be every bit as good, if not even a tiny bit better.

People seem to be put off Hoya because they are aluminium and not brass, but in my 40 years of camera ownership, I have never had a filter stuck on that I could not easily remove simply by wearing a rubber glove.

The Hoya HD's really are superb IMO.

(I am referring to the original Hoya HD. Whether the new HD3 version is any good, I have no idea.)
