Hi,

I do not own a M Monochrom, can you tell me:

- how big how the RAW files out of the camera?

- how is the battery life compared with the M10? (by the way do they use the same batteries?)

Thank you.

Hi wolan,

Most of the DNG files seem to hover around the 50mb mark. They seem to range from 40-60 but most are somewhere right in the middle of the range.

I have only used an M10 briefly, but the battery life seems pretty good to me. I’ve been getting several hundred shots (over the course of multiple days) out of each charge. I’d be totally comfortable with one spare for a full day’s outing. They do take the same battery.

Monochrom which one ?

 - For the M10-Monochrom, same battery as M10,

you can find easily the specifications here, sticky thread

- Monochrom MM1 has 18M pix , battery life is soso as they are old now and battery smaller than the next

- M (typ 246) 24Mpix with largest battery life, if that is important.

The battery life is excellent if one is just using the rangefinder.

With Live View in use, the battery life goes down a bit. So you would want to have a spare battery, just to be relaxed.

With LeicaFOTOS the wifi use drains the battery down pretty quickly. Definitely have a spare battery. But LeicaFOTOS is great fun to work with.
