I just decided to shoot some video today and when i press the center button I was not able to access the video function.  It just has the + on the screen and was in photo mode.  I have the latest firmware 2.0.  I can only access the video function by swiping left or right.  I just bought the camera back in November. Is this a camera defect, software or user error. Thanks

Unfortunately you press the wrong button. Go into the Menu. In that first menu screen you see the switch from photo to vudeo. An other method is to whipe to the left.

Did they change the button when they did the firmware update? Because the manual states the center button to switch from photo to video. Thank you for your response.

I am very sorry: I can not answer your question as I have the Q2 only for  a few weeks with new firmware anyway.

With other questions that I asked in that forum I had to learn not to use the manual anymore as there are too many functions that have changed.

Yes, it was included with the firmware update
