martinop Posted August 11, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 11, 2007 Nicely done i.e. especially the impact of the silhoutte of the boy contrasted against the textures / movement of the water fountain spray.
KM-25 Posted August 11, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted August 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks folks. The lighting is totally spot lit and the sun only appears in this position for about 6 days a year. I hope Leica makes even better cameras than the M8 in the future. As good as the M8 is at 10.3 MP, I can easily see in the 100% crop with no sharpening or noise reduction that even wide open, the 50 Asph is aching for more like 22-30 MP. stuny Posted August 13, 2007 Share #8 Posted August 13, 2007 KM 25 - As though you combined the Victorian art form of silhouette portraits with stop-action color photography. Excellent.

gylee Posted August 16, 2007 Share #10 Posted August 16, 2007 That is an absolutely cracking photograph. Shame its not on Kodachrome - would have been great for the project! I have been monitoring the Kodachrome Project site - can we expect an update anytime soon? I think that it is a fantastic idea and I really look forward to seeing the final result. G. chris_livsey Posted August 16, 2007 Share #11 Posted August 16, 2007 Fantastic. Just try shaving that little bit of water off in the top LHS corner. It leaves a black triangle there then which balances against the silhoutte as it is the highlight just pulls a little distraction. But brilliant planning, co-operative model with permssion to get wet ? ChrisL
