Lovely.  I assume you drove down from Los Angeles and passed that amazingly huge wind energy farm

Thank you, Stuart. I came from the other direction. We were in Palm Springs for several weeks. The wind farms there are mind blowing. So massive. I asked a Palm Springs resident how much of their power was provided by them and he said, "None. It all goes to LA."

Wonderful picture. Did you use a filter or is the dark sky dark due to the M10M sensor properties?

What are your upload parameters? --I somehow don't manage to upload that size and/or the resolution. Thank you, K.

Thanks. I used a red filter then darkened a bit more in post. The filter was mostly responsible for the dark sky.  When sizing for posts here I usually make the long side of horizontal images between 1400 and 1800 pixels @ 300ppi. For vertical images, I hold the long side down to 875 pixels.

These  pollard willows are cared for by a club-the members  gather once a year to shear them... Otherwise the tree would outgrow its statics and break. Rarely you find a vineyard were the twigs are still used--plastic clips are faster.

Sorry, didn't want to bomb your thread.. misplaced it. Was meant to be in the "film only" thread...

No problem at all, but now my curiosity is aroused. What are the twigs used for?

Hillavoider, you are so right about the Monaro, we have the rocks and the sky, Brent's lovely shot could have been taken hereabouts...and I wish I'd taken it!
