Although it will "only" be 600 mm equivalent, that should be enough for birds. Compact, light and stabilized, it should be handholdable, maybe with a chest pod. And there is a 2x extender. ramarren Posted June 20, 2020 Share #22  Posted June 20, 2020 It looks to be an interesting lens, but I use even a 100mm lens so infrequently on APS-C format that it's mostly not relevant to my photography. I do look forward to seeing some performance tests and reviews from users however. That comes down to 1050mm. This is not something you want to use handheld, but with a bit of support from a branch, or a pole, or anything solid that is available, the result is pretty neat.
