Although it will "only" be 600 mm equivalent, that should be enough for birds. Compact, light and stabilized, it should be handholdable, maybe with a chest pod. And there is a 2x extender. I do look forward to seeing some performance tests and reviews from users however. Always nice when new equipment that works well shows up! That comes down to 1050mm. This is not something you want to use handheld, but with a bit of support from a branch, or a pole, or anything solid that is available, the result is pretty neat.
