sean_reid Posted August 10, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted August 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've seen $600 but that seems low. Want to know, for the article, what these tend to sell for in good condition. Â Cheers, Â Sean
Advertisement Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Hi sean_reid, Take a look here Current Used Prices for Leitz Canada 90/2.0. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicapfile Posted August 10, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted August 10, 2007 Sean, Â With these older Leitz lenses, condition (along w/chrome or black, does it have the box, marks on glass, etc) dictate the selling price. Â FWIW I sold mine (vintage 1964) the first of the year for $780. It was chrome, unmarked glass, box and a chrome E48 Leitz filter. The latter are hard to come by. Â Didn't really use it that much, e.g heavy. Kept the 90 Elmarit of the same vintage, along w/ the modern Elmarit. Â Each has its own "look". Eoin Posted August 10, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted August 10, 2007 Sean, just bought a mint E-55 for $650. Glass and body spotless, caps x2, but no box/pouch.
sean_reid Posted August 10, 2007 Author Share #4 Â Posted August 10, 2007 Ok, thanks folks. So, I'll say $600 - $800. Â Much obliged. Â Cheers, Â Sean

gvaliquette Posted August 10, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted August 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) eBay completed auctions are your friend in this situation :-) Stu: You are right! Â Sean: If you are talking about the R lenses, 2 sold on e-Bay in the last year or so, one for US$138.50 (ugly), the other for US$406 (good) Â Five lenses did NOT sell for: 416, 499, 525, 575, 1200 (all US$) Â On e-Bay, the items that did not sell are just as informative as those that do! andybarton Posted August 10, 2007 Share #9  Posted August 10, 2007 If we are talking R lenses, a 90 Summicron goes for around £300 - £400 retail in the UK (which will be around 600 - 800 of your Yankee dollars at today's exchange rates)  Expect to get at least E++ for that
stunsworth Posted August 10, 2007 Share #10  Posted August 10, 2007 Sorry, Steve, not Stu  Don't worry about it, I've been called worse things <grin>.  For $416 I'd buy one if the glass was ok.

gvaliquette Posted August 10, 2007 Share #12 Â Posted August 10, 2007 All: Â I have built up an Excel file of about 600 entries of Leica R (mostly) stuff on e-Bay that goes back about 1 to 1 1/2 year. I'd be happy to share it with all of you if I can post an Excel file on the forum. It includes the item, price of sale or non-sale, and approximate date. Â We could even start an open spreadsheet that we could all contribute to, each monitoring what (s)he is interrested in, again, if that is possible. Â Coordinators??? gvaliquette Posted August 11, 2007 Share #20  Posted August 11, 2007 Guy Valiquette put it together, and as he says in a post above, it's mostly R lenses. There is life beyond rangefinders you know  Hi, Andy:  Thanks for putting it up for all to use, for what it's worth.  All:  Yes, it is mostly R stuff. It obviously reflects my interests, what I am looking to buy, and what I might be interrested in in the foreseable future ($$$ permitting ). I also tracked the ongoing sales of equipment I currently own, should I ever, , have to consider departing with it.  Guy
