stuny Posted August 9, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 9, 2007 N.S.Ng - You've now inspired me to go back to my color images of Haleakala and convert them to B&W. Gorgeous photo which cleary shows the previously liquid nature of the surface which in B&W almost looks like swells in a sea.

But as you said, the 'liquid surface' in b&w is more dramatic. Thanks for viewing. N.S.

andybarton Posted August 11, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 11, 2007 Terrific, yet impossible to get a sense of scale in what I suspect is a vast landscape. Do you do 3D?

samwells Posted August 12, 2007 Share #8 Posted August 12, 2007 Wonderful shot...amazing plasticity and 'swirliness' of the middle ground has a strange dreamlike quality. cheers: Sam

Now, where can I find another R8/R9 DMR to shoot in stereo!? The 19mm here helps to create the receding background which lends a more dramatic effect. Thanks for all the comments. N.S.
