The previous PD5 will accommodate the same setup though, just a little more snug at the top around the eyepiece, but these can be had for less$. The PD10 is wider and taller and can take the camera with lens and hood in ready position + big lens on the left and big lens on the right laying down on its side, under the flap. @LeicaDreamer @Rob L have y’all seen anything about the PD3, for an SL2 with a 50 Cron and possibly an M lens plus adapter (like a 75 or 28 Lux)? Seems like it may be tight but I’d love to have a PD3 pull double duty for my m10p/xpro3 kits and SL2 kit. or is the PD6 at max capacity already with an SL2/Cron + 2nd lens, such that no way the pd3 could handle it.   my Billingham Hadley small can barely hold the SL2 with 2 lenses, and I’m not sure if the pd3 will be much bigger internally.
Rob L Posted March 7, 2020 Share #23 Â Posted March 7, 2020 My guess is no way will a PD3 do this. I have not seen one but it is theoretically 1/2 the volume. I think the PD website (and B&H) has pretty good interior dimensions listed.
hirohhhh Posted March 10, 2020 Share #24  Posted March 10, 2020 Is it possible to fit SL + 24/90 + 50mm Summilux into Peak Design Sling 6L? One of the lenses are attached to the camera and both have hoods. I have PD Sling 5L and I can't barely fit body + one lens Into it.
Rob L Posted March 10, 2020 Share #25  Posted March 10, 2020 I can't answer that, as I don't have those lenses. I doubt it. I can do an SL2 body with two Summicron SL lenses easily, but the lenses you refer to are larger (82mm filter) and longer by an inch or so. Hello!I bought PD 6 on Rob's advice two weeks ago.The bag is perfect for carrying the SL2 with the 24-90 mounted, including the hood. If you also have the 50mm you should store it under the mounted lens, but considering the size of the hood I do not recommend it. Therefore according to my direct experience if you want to transport both lenses (besides obviously the camera body) I would go on the PD10.
hirohhhh Posted March 10, 2020 Share #27 Â Posted March 10, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks both! I'll see but I'm not a big fan of 10L sling back, it's probably as big as my backpack, so I'd rather carry my Thule backpack.

I'm sure this must have been discussed, so any pointers would be much appreciated... Alain I use the the SL2 with Grip and either Panasonic 70-200 f2.8 or 24-90 and either setup fits PD 10 ltr.  I also use Thinktank Holster 40 v2 for the same setup  On 2/23/2020 at 2:09 PM, bherman01545 said: Look at the Billingham Hadley One for the SL/SL2 system. Perfect size for a body (or two), a couple of lenses and tons of accessories. Make sure you go for the optional SP40 shoulder pad. Another great bag is the Oberwerth Munchen. A bit more $$, but is more than 50% vegetable tanned leather, with the rest of the materials being Cordura. I own both. The Hadley One is slightly larger and a bit more weather-resistant. The Oberwerth might offer a bit more protection  -Brad N

I obviously wasn't in a place financially, nor was a fully-baked SL system even available if I was, but gosh, I wish this transition could've been possible like five years ago. So many weddings I wish I could've photographed with this setup instead. Everything just works too well. And the shooting experience is so cathartic with these - not that I didn't look forward to shoots or weddings, but after doing this full time for 10 years, even the best careers will have days where it's like... ugh, I don't feel like working today - but since getting these, there hasn't been a wedding I haven't been super stoked to go to, for at least the reason of being able to use these all day. I'm 26 weddings in with these and the only thing I'd love to see changed is the ability to lock out the thumbwheel. I use hold fast straps which causes that thumbwheel to accidentally adjust sometimes via rubbing against my thigh when walking. So sometimes - not all the time, but sometimes - I'll grab one of them to find the aperture adjusted to something insane like f8, OR, worse, the thumbwheel got pressed in (choose a new shooting mode) and then turned (putting it into a different shooting mode), so I'll grab the camera and be puzzled for a few moments before realizing it got switched from manual to something like Av. Literally that's my only gripe though. Battery life is shockingly good. I was expecting dumpster performance based on feedback from folks, but I can go about 3-4 hours of constant shooting before needing to change batteries. About on par with most mirrorless cams. 1

Interesting about the wheel, I though you could lock it... I should look into that (i dont need/want to but just to know). Its on the heavier 48MP SL2 that battery life is a bit less good, but honestly that really depends how you set it and if you are familiar with the camera it's not an issue. Nice to hear about your feedback. Thanks!
hellobrandonscott Posted May 12, 2021 Share #34  Posted May 12, 2021 It can be locked, but that means the other (shutter speed) wheel is locked too. Most cams allow one or the other to be locked, but so far with the SL, it's all or nothing.
