SL2 with Novoflex Nikon AF adapter

I am enclosing my results with the lenses I have tested with the Novoflex AF Adapter for Nikon

Nikon 70-300E Terrible.  Misses focus on a regular basis

Nikon 500Pf E Quite good and worthwhile to take in the field.  All focus modes seem to work well.  Worth trying against the 90-280 to see if it is as good as or better

Sigma 70-200 Sport This lens is suppose to have the Nikon E couplings.  It doesn't work at all.  The aperture is incorrect (it seems to want to be at 1.2 all the time) and the AF doesn't work on any mode.  I kinda got some AF on spot mode, but it was hit or miss.

An update I also tried the Sigma 24-70 Art Nikon mount.  This is also suppose to have the E couplings.  Same issue as the 70-200.  Nothing works.  In this case I couldn't even get an Aperture reading at all.

Thanks for the report, I don’t have the SL2 yet but I am interested in what the options are for long lenses with or without an adapter. The good results with the 500PF is promising and I would assume the 300PF will perform the same.

I can confirm that 300PF works quite ok on the SL/SL2.

My experience on the SL is:

Nikon 70-300 E - slow, questionable accuracy
Nikon 300 PF - a bit slow but seems reasonably accurate
Nikon 105 E - works
Nikon 28 E - works

For the lenses that work, I'm not completely convinced that the AF is always accurate...occasionally the AF just seems to give up.

70-200 f4 doesn’t AF

200-500 has AF but not super fast. Usable.

It's not a fix all. Some lenses are OK. Some not. Don't expect anywhere near native performance.
