hyunez Posted January 21, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone know the length of the Q-P's leather strap? I'm hoping it's long enough (>120cm) to wear across my chest. https://leicastoremiami.com/collections/q-system-cases-bags-straps/products/leica-q-p-brown-leather-shoulder-strap?variant=29856358858796 Thanks! hyunez Posted January 24, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted January 24, 2020 Found the answer to my own question—it’s 112cm (44in), which is not long enough to wear across your chest.
elgenper Posted January 24, 2020 Share #3 Posted January 24, 2020 Order one from Harry Benz in the exact length (and colour) you want. There just isn´t anything better (it does need a period of break-in to soften properly, that´s all).

phernz Posted January 25, 2020 Share #5 Posted January 25, 2020 I suggest looking at the rope straps, I bought mine at Leica Soho and its 126cm. Perfect for wearing across the chest. I got this one which is surprisingly hard to get. https://leicacamerausa.com/rope-strap-cooph-night-57inches-o-ring-ending.html
hyunez Posted January 25, 2020 Author Share #6 Posted January 25, 2020 I ended up getting a Leica CL leather strap. It’s adjustable up to 127cm (50”): http://leicastoresoho.com/leather-neck-strap-for-the-leica-cl-camera-in-brown/

There just isn´t anything better (it does need a period of break-in to soften properly, that´s all). I got a B Strap from Harry, which lives on my M-P 240 Safari camera. I ordered it in 142 cm. length, which puts the camera under my right hand when worn across the chest diagonally. That's where i want my camera to rest when I'm not using it for the moment, out sight and out of the way of potential bumps and dings. I have an Artisan & Artist "Easy Slider" [ https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1236154-REG/artisan_artist_aaacane25rbugy_acam_e25r_easy_slider_camera.html ] strap on my Q2. This strap is not as desirable or as elegant as one of Harry's B Straps, but it does the job (it was on sale for $50 USD, so I grabbed one). If I am going to spend $100 USD or more on a camera strap, I will throw in a few more dollars and spring for one of Harry's straps. I have been tempted to get one of Harry's LSD heavy dose straps for the Q2 [see attachment], and may well end up doing that. I think this would be the ultimate strap for a Q2. Welcome, dear visitor! johntobias Posted June 1, 2020 Share #11 Posted June 1, 2020 (edited) for quality rope straps in any colour, the best place is Andy at Rigu photographic. I've had fabulous service from him and prices are great along with superb quality (and camera protection) https://rigu.co.uk the one I use. http://rigu.co.uk/cam-in-camera-accessories/red-black-nylon-rope-camera-strap-ring-connection-cam-125cm?page=8 Edited June 1, 2020 by johntobias added link
vedivv Posted June 1, 2020 Share #12 Posted June 1, 2020 Have been using peak design strap that is easily adjustable. Tried various lengths. For me, cross chest wearing needs to about 130cm.
