I'm really enjoying learning how to expose and process the output of the M10M.  Very much a work in progress...

Very impressive images.

I have never been a BW guy. I find colours too beautiful. But lately, I've been increasingly tempted to convert more and more images to BW, and liking the results. Being obsessed since 15 years with low light capabilities of cameras in an attempt to free myself form the limitations of the night, the M10M naturally started to catch my attention. So when someone offered me yesterday an M10M Wetzlar edition as part of a lens exchange, I couldn't resist....

What I'm trying to say is, expect to me around the Monochrome forum ✌🏻

Now that you've tried the M10M, it's game over. We'll be watching. ;)

San Francisco City Hall faces almost directly east, so it's beautifully lit by the early morning sun. This was 8:45 a.m. last Sunday. 35mm Summilux, red filter.

I've posted a photo of this building before, but in the M246 thread. Of course, it looks completely different photographed with the M10M 😉

Photobombing vintage photo locations with a Honda motorcycle.  The modern one out of the M10M was softened in this case and of course the perspective could be improved...  The vintage photo is from between 1890 and 1900.

The town is mainly notable for the fact that it floods on a regular basis.  The vintage photo is from the flood of 1952.  The most recent flood (which resulted in pretty much the same pileup at the end of Main Street) was in 2018.

Well done. It's interesting to see how little that street has changed.

But hopefully soon with an end to the business and personal tragedy through remedial efforts.

It really is.  Particularly in light of the fact that the lower floors of these places get trashed from the flooding pretty regularly.

I wasn't sure exactly where exactly where the original was taken from (didn't know the focal length nor size of the film) but guessed at a spot with a similar perspective and used a 28 so that I could crop in as necessary.  Seemed to be close-ish.

Indeed.  Much of the work is already done.  Hopefully it'll work but I don't think that it's been tested yet.  Many of the businesses have been here for decades and in a couple of stores, for generations.

I frequently visit good friends there, and support the businesses. And make pics occasionally.
