I'm heading to Amsterdam in two weeks. I would be most grateful for any photography tips/advice. My last visit was more than 20 years ago. This will be the first week of February. I'll probably take a QP and maybe one M body with one additional lens. Several extra batteries. Any forum members in Amsterdam?

It really depends on what you are planning to shoot. The centre gets very busy during the day, especially during the weekends. So early Saturday or Sunday mornings are nice to walk around the centre if you want to avoid busy streets. There is a Leica store in Amsterdam, if you're interested. Lastly, beware the pickpockets.

Thank you for your response. I have tickets for Anne Frank. My other serious plans are ---- to wander. I tend to shoot in very low light, wide open. Looking for - not just places but -events --- interesting people.

Hello OR120. It depends on your interests. Would you like to see some real hotspots? Or would you prefer something less touristic or out of the ordinary? Feel free to pm me. I was born in Amsterdam and I still live there. I will be glad to give you some suggestions.

Sorry. I should have read before reacting... Events...
