OR120 Posted January 16, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 16, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm heading to Amsterdam in two weeks. I would be most grateful for any photography tips/advice. My last visit was more than 20 years ago. This will be the first week of February. I'll probably take a QP and maybe one M body with one additional lens. Several extra batteries. Any forum members in Amsterdam?
Advertisement Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Hi OR120, Take a look here Amsterdam tips/advice. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
WvE Posted January 16, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2020 It really depends on what you are planning to shoot. The centre gets very busy during the day, especially during the weekends. So early Saturday or Sunday mornings are nice to walk around the centre if you want to avoid busy streets. There is a Leica store in Amsterdam, if you're interested. Lastly, beware the pickpockets. OR120 Posted January 16, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted January 16, 2020 (edited) Thank you for your response. I have tickets for Anne Frank. My other serious plans are ---- to wander. I tend to shoot in very low light, wide open. Looking for - not just places but -events --- interesting people. ropo54 Posted January 16, 2020 Share #4 Posted January 16, 2020 Hi Or120: Try having a meal at Cafe de Klos. No reservations taken, so be prepared to wait (but they have a pub they're associated - across the street - while you wait). Excellent ribs!
