Fotomiguel Posted August 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think that the 75 cron is a perfect lens to go with the m8.! It's very compact and light (just 420gr). With the 1,25 x magnifier it's very easy and quick to focus. The colours are just great, even with no IR filter (I'm still waiting for it). and the best think is how incredible sharp is. I've been using it with the M8 for some months. It becomes a 100mm which is perfect for the range finder cameras. Portrait, street photography, landscapes, nature and even almost Macro. Just perfect. I would like to show you some crop 100x100 from a series of pictures about snails that I realize recently. Advertisement Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Hi Fotomiguel, Take a look here M8 plus 75 cron! What a nice combination!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jonoslack Posted August 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 7, 2007 Hi Miguel I couldn't agree more - Mine is on one of my bodies almost all the time. Those are great snail shots - a splendid tribute to the abilities of the M8. Odd framing is quick to get used to. Here are three from this morning:
Fotomiguel Posted August 7, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted August 7, 2007 Hi Jonathan! Nice pictures! The 75 cron is really a jewel! I wish I could have a second body and keep my 75 going all the time!! But I've just received my new brand leica 28mm elmarit:) (finally after nine months waiting) and my feelings for my 50mm cron are very strong! So I think I need three bodies! Kind Regards Miguel

I have to say that these crops are awesome, well done indeed and they emphasize the 75cron qualities even better. All the best. johnwolf Posted August 7, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 7, 2007 Miguel, I have the lens and love it. I must admit, though, that I've never thought much about snails. Your images highlight a fascinating and beautiful detail of nature that I'm sure most people overlook. It's such a nice theme and you've captured and presented it so artfully. Hi Bart 1/125 f5.6 ISO 160 handheld patience! Glad you like it though, I thought it worked quite well - it is cropped, but not very much (basically just the sides and not the vertical). I've never thought about snails before I met two of them over a nail. The 75 cron did the rest. What a beautiful lens! The leica lenses overcome my capabilities! Thank you very much!
