thgbrian Posted January 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Everyone, My M240's Shutter Speed dial has become misaligned. When set to A the camera reads 1/30th. Does anyone know how to fix this or do I have to send it into Leica? If so, how much would something like this cost to get fixed? Thanks! jaapv Posted January 6, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2020 Yes you need to send it to Leica. If it is just a misalignement the fix should not be complicated, but only Leica can tell after examining the camera.

I'm in the US so I'm going to call up Leica NJ.
jaapv Posted January 7, 2020 Share #4 Posted January 7, 2020 In Wetzlar the turnaround for regular (non-express) repairs is about four weeks at the moment, maybe a little less.

Wetzlar no longer offer an 'express' service (I asked back in September last year). Yes, the actual repair time is about 3-4 weeks, but it invariably takes Wetzlar 1 week to issue an estimate from receipt of goods, so this needs to be added. 1
thgbrian Posted January 9, 2020 Author Share #6 Posted January 9, 2020 Thank you all for the replies. Guess this isn't any sort of DIY fix. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I read one or two threads and they said they just knocked the dial and it worked lol.

rinatus Posted June 20, 2024 Share #10 Posted June 20, 2024 Hello, I'm encountering the same thing since a couple of days. The reset in the menu didn't help. Did anybody encounter this and if yes, how did you solve?
