I'm updating my Leica sites and hava been greatly helped by Justin Scott, as well as been picking goodies from Douglas Herr's goldmine of Leica R sites in creating a compendium of cameras and lenses.

Comments are welcome:

Go on with your project ! Is interesting and well started.

Some notes on the lens compendium (I am very interested in ANYTHING about Leitz lenses...):

- In the "fixed lenses" list you have to add the Hektor 5 cm 2,5... Leica was available with it in 1930-31 (about 1300 produced)

- Fine You already quote the 4 new Summarits... but they are NOT asph lenses: this is clearly stated in Leica announcment letter

- You forgot a lens in the Visoflex set : the Tele Elmarit 180 2,8... lasted for short time...1965 only, about 300 produced... but had its standard code (11910) even if dedicated to US market only (:) but some came back to old Europe... I have one)

- Elmarit M ASPH 15mm 2,8 for Leica M ? A dream for many...but a dream at the moment...

Thanks for the thumbs up.

E-mails is shooting back and forth between Justin Scott, Douglas Herr and I and the compendiums is being updated quite a bit on almost a daily basis.

I'm glad for the details on the Visoflex set (which by the way is a bit confusing in the current form). We all know a bit and if we can manage to collect it in a place for all to learn and study it's a good thing.

So shoot mails or comments with stuff.

Very nice work.

I'm over the "I want one of Each!!" phase of my life.

Does anyone remember the Peter Max Nikon Poster from ~1973? That one I've got complete...

I haven't got the Peter Max poster but I've got two of the three Amateur Photographer posters from that time - if anyone comes across the Terence Donovan poster, let me know !!
