I would rather carry a paper manual in my bag than a digital download on an iPad. It's lighter and easy to read in bright sunlight. I also enjoy reading it with a cup of tea right after I've bought the camera, it has always been one of the joys of getting a new camera. I dislike that Leica doesn't bother to include it especially with what they are charging. Then they waste money on packaging everything in little pull out cardboard drawers which I certainly don't need. As for the trend of requesting a paper manual. Why? I already bought the camera. How would Leica feel if take home a camera from the store and digitally upload the payment to them later? See, I can think like that too. It's a convenience for Leica and an inconvenience for the customer. Etiquette in these digital times really is terrible. The manual should be in the box.By the way I thought Leica concentrated on the ESSENTIALS. Isn't the manual an essential?
